Qualifications

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in plumbing.
• Good physical health, dexterity and ability to work in varied conditions.
• Basic understanding of tools and construction principles is an advantage.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Must work on-site in Queenstown, Eastern Cape and participate in Hybrid work elements as required.
• Willingness to undergo trade testing and acquire formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified plumbers in installing and maintaining water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.
• Learn to read and interpret plumbing blueprints and specifications.
• Perform tasks such as pipe cutting, threading, and joining under supervision.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, including leaks and blockages.
• Install and service various plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers).
• Ensure all work adheres to building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site and company vehicle.
• Participate in regular training sessions and acquire necessary certifications.
• Handle plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
