Formación

What are we looking for?

Blue Marketing is seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Accountant to join our Accounting Team. In this role, you will be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including related sub-ledger and general ledger postings, as well as additional accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

The AP/AR Accountant plays an important role in supporting the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes. This position serves as a key control point within our corporate accounting framework, ensuring that purchasing procedures and approval workflows are followed. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate data such as line coding, vendor and customer setup, and payment processing; while supporting a smooth and compliant accounting cycle.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of all transactions.
  • Assist with monthly / quarterly / annual statutory filing and internal reporting.
  • Maintenance, reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
  • Assist in maintenance of vendor files including vendor terms and contact details.
  • Support the Accounting Manager with closing the monthly management accounts in line with group policies and timetable.
  • Perform regular (monthly) balance sheet reviews.
  • Prepare the weekly cash report.
  • Provide support, where required, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of departmental goals and requirements.
  • Maintain department files and databases as appropriate.
  • Support the Accounting Manager with local (Spanish) and company group related tax matters.
Requirements
  • University degree in Accounting (preferably accounting program at Spanish University), and/or experience in a similar role (at least 2 years).
  • Previous managerial experience would be a plus.
  • Advanced business level in English, both oral and written. Spanish will be a great plus.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization and proactive skills, paying attention to detail.
  • Intermediate knowledge with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of IFRS (SMEs) and Spanish GAAP.
