About the Team

Fitch's CIPF group rates corporate, infrastructure and project finance issuers and their debt instruments. In EMEA, CIPF is organised into sector teams covering Consumer and Healthcare; Industrials; Natural Resources and Infrastructure; Transport; Utilities; Telecoms, Media and Technology; and Real Estate, with infrastructure and project finance analysts working alongside corporate analysts within their sectors. In addition, a specialist Leveraged Finance team focuses on credits with leveraged capital structures.

The EMEA Consumer & Healthcare Ratings team covers the widest range of industries and is the second largest in terms of the ratings portfolio, with over 100 public credits, and by team size, with around 20 analysts located in London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Paris and Stockholm. Within the team, the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Consumer and Agribusiness group rates a diverse portfolio of EMEA issuers across packaged food, beverages, dairy, household and personal care, tobacco and agribusiness. Issuers range from large investment-grade multinationals and cooperatives to high-yield, family-owned and sponsor-backed companies.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Carry out corporate credit analysis for public and private ratings and credit opinions, including financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting and peer comparison, applying Fitch's rating Criteria, Ratings Navigators and key analytical tools
  • Act as a support analyst for a portfolio of FMCG, consumer and agribusiness credits, ensuring timely rating monitoring
  • Prepare rating committee packages, rating action commentaries and issuer reports, and present your recommendations and analysis clearly to rating committees
  • Together with senior team members, engage with issuers' management, bankers and advisors, and work with other sector teams, such as Leveraged Finance, where needed
  • Follow industry, market and issuer developments, and help senior colleagues respond promptly to credit events and new rating mandates
  • Contribute to sector and thematic research, peer analysis and outlooks, as well as presentations for investors and other market participants
  • Deliver quality outputs within deadlines, working closely with Operations, Enhanced Analytics and Publishing colleagues
  • Conduct all work in line with Fitch's policies, criteria and Code of Ethics, upholding the integrity and independence of the rating process
  • Occasional travel within EMEA
