Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering initiatives at the ESP Almaraz site in Spain. You will oversee full lifecycle projects, coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and marketing, and ensure adherence to cost, schedule, and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 3–5 years of project engineering experience in medical devices or pharma, and strong Spanish/English communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role, preferably in medical device/pharma.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong communication in Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 desirable.

Job Description

Responsible for the execution and successful completion of engineering projects, ensuring that technical, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through final delivery, including scope definition, schedule development, and resource management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing, to ensure project alignment with company objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Monitor the project budget, ensuring that expenditures remain within approved limits.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across all aspects of the project.
• Perform technical and engineering analyses to resolve issues and optimize product or process performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and test procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or a related field).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies; PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and make data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and other applicable industry standards, including ISO 13485, is desirable.

Salary range for this role: EUR 35,000 - EUR 50,000
