Amazon is seeking PhD students for an Applied Scientist Internship within the University Talent Acquisition program. You will design and implement end-to-end ML systems, write papers, and drive projects into production, collaborating with senior scientists across teams.

The internship offers mentorship, exposure to cutting-edge research, and potential early offers based on performance. The role focuses on catalogue quality, computer vision, and multimodal AI to improve customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.

Responsabilités

• Own design and development of end-to-end systems; write technical white papers, create roadmaps and drive production level projects.
• Collaborate with Amazon scientists and other interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
• Design new algorithms, models, or other technical solutions while working with cross-functional teams to surface insights and improve customer experience.
• Publish work at top-tier conferences or have it deployed to production during the internship.
