Job summary

The University of Cadiz in Spain invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) post in the field of electron microscopy of nanomaterials. The project aims to design AI-driven analysis of TEM images and to develop Python and MATLAB tools to implement the methods, with dissemination through papers and conference talks.

The successful candidate will work on machine learning, deep learning, and big data, with English proficiency at least at B2 level, and a background in Computer Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with Specialisation in Computing.
• Research Master’s in Systems and Computer Engineering.
• Experience in deep learning, pattern recognition, machine learning and big data.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of AI techniques for quantitative analysis of TEM images.
• Developing programmes in Python and MATLAB to implement methods.
• Preparing scientific papers and conference presentations relating to project results.
• Contributing to preparation of project reports.
