Job summary

Novanta is seeking a Security Automation & AI Engineer to design and maintain automated security workflows across SIEM, EDR, DLP, and IAM. You will embed security checks in CI/CD pipelines and develop AI-assisted investigation tools to accelerate incident response.

The role collaborates with R&D, IT, and DevOps to scale defenses globally. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in security operations, strong Python and CI/CD skills, and familiarity with GDPR and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in security operations, security engineering, or DevSecOps with automation focus.
• Proficient in writing production-grade, maintainable code.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with common platforms and version control.
• Knowledge of GDPR and security compliance across global orgs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security automation workflows and SOAR playbooks.
• Develop detection-as-code pipelines for SIEM/EDR and automate remediation.
• Automate vulnerability management and CI/CD security checks.
• Collaborate with IT, Cloud, DevOps to align automation with strategy.
