Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) to help shape how frontier AI systems reason about cloud risk. You will analyze real-world security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure, focusing on misconfigurations and incident response.

The role emphasizes evaluating AI-driven security reasoning and providing expert feedback to improve model quality. This is a fully remote hourly contract (10-40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid familiarity with cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
• Experience identifying and reasoning about real-world misconfigurations and security incidents
• Ability to clearly articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task-based assignments

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review IAM policies, networking configurations, storage permissions, and container security issues
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact and blast radius
• Evaluate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves the quality of AI security models
