RoleDuties and Responsibilities
- Own the monthly,quarterlyand annual close for the Norwegian, Swedish,Finnishand Luxembourg entities
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements under local GAAP and reconcile these to IFRS group reporting
- Design,documentandmaintaingroup accounting procedures, closecalendarsand internal controls
- Own balance sheet integrity: reconciliations, intercompany, accruals, fixed assets,leasesand FX
- Lead,structureand develop the accounting team — set priorities, reviewworkand build capability
- Act as primary counterpart to tax advisors and auditors in eachjurisdiction
- Own accounting workstreams in the Oracle NetSuite implementation and post go-live configuration (chart of accounts, close process, approval workflows)
- Support VAT and other statutory filings in cooperation with local advisors
- Contribute to group,auditand board reporting cycles
Skills,Experienceand Certifications
Must have:
- Several years in a comparable accounting management or senior accountant role in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment;
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS, and the ability to work with local GAAP requirements in more than one jurisdiction ;
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement accounting procedures, close routines and controls — not only to operate them;
- Experience leading or structuring a small accounting team;
- Full ownership of a close cycle and of statutory reporting;
- Comfortable working across countries and remote teams;
- Professional English, written and spoken;
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Barcelona.
Nice-to-have:
- Swedish or Norwegian language skills (significant plus)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Experience with Nordic local GAAP (NGAAP, Swedish K3, Finnish FAS) and/or Luxembourg GAAP
- Experience in a group finance function during an ERP implementation or migration
- Recognised accounting qualification
- Experience managing a report in another country
