Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Group Services Madrid is seeking a Finance Closing & Reporting Specialist to join an international team in Madrid. You will deliver accounting and reporting activities, ensuring timely closing and group reporting, while handling daily operations across banking, intercompany, fixed assets, payroll, taxes, and consolidation.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or related field, at least 1 year of accounting experience, knowledge of SAP FI (CO/EC-CS a plus) and strong Excel

Responsibilities

• Deliver financial accounting and reporting activities.
• Ensure timely closing and Group reporting.
• Perform daily accounting operations across banking, intercompany, fixed assets, stock management, payroll, taxes, equity, accruals, provisions, consolidation and Group reporting.
• Ensure the quality of Financial Statements through the execution of controls.
• Postings, account clearing and balance reviews.
• Resolve issues with teams in markets during close.
• Provide backup support for other companies when needed.
• Analyze Financial Statement figures before and after HQ reporting.
• Identify process updates and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Act as a contact partner for day-to-day problem solving.

• Deliver financial accounting and reporting activities.
• Ensure timely and high-quality closing and Group reporting for the assigned companies.
• Perform daily accounting operations and transactional activities across areas such as banking, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, stock management, payroll, taxes, equity, accruals, provisions, consolidation and Group reporting.
• Ensure the quality of Financial Statements through the execution of different controls.
• Perform accounting activities, including postings, account clearing and quality reviews of postings and end balances.
• Resolve accounting issues with teams in the markets regarding daily operations and month-end closing.
• Provide backup support for other companies when needed.
• Analyze Financial Statement figures before and after reporting to HQ.
• Identify and communicate necessary process updates and contribute to process documentation and knowledge exchange.
• Act as a contact partner for day-to-day problem solving.

What we are looking for
