The successful candidate will manage financial reporting under US GAAP and local Spanish GAAP while ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. To support our continued growth across EMEA we are looking for a dynamic Assistant Accountant to join our collaborative finance team.

Your Impact : The Role in a Nutshell

As an Accountant you will play a pivotal role in achieving our EMEA finance objectives. You will support the R2R Manager in managing a portfolio of property and legal entities across Europe ensuring accurate monthly reporting under US GAAP and overseeing local Spanish statutory compliance. This is a hands‑on role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will directly contribute to our financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Own the Financials : Manage the monthly quarterly and annual group reporting (US GAAP) and local Spanish GAAP for a portfolio of entities.
  • Drive Compliance : Take ownership of local VAT compliance including preparing returns and managing electronic invoicing records (SII) for Spanish entities.
  • Ensure Accuracy : Review and process transactions prepare key reconciliations (bank balance sheet fixed assets) and proactively resolve any discrepancies.
  • Support Audits : Play a key role in the preparation and execution of local statutory audits for our Spanish entities.
  • Collaborate for Success: Be a trusted partner to internal teams like Asset Management and FP&A and manage third‑party service providers.
  • Champion Improvement: Actively contribute to improving our accounting processes and internal controls and embrace opportunities to get involved in exciting finance projects.
What Were Looking For :
  • Experience & Education : A qualified accountant with 3-5 years of experience in a multinational environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Spanish taxes statutory accounting (VAT SII) and experience with both Spanish GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Strong systems knowledge and intermediate / advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
