Overview

Mantell Associates is currently, exclusively partnered on a Central Europe, Account Executive position with an AI-driven, Digital Pathology organization. The company is a Nordic-based medical software developer specializing in AI-powered image analysis for pathology. Its cloud-native platform supports clinical diagnostics, pharma and biotech R&D, and academic research, helping laboratories automate and standardize digital pathology workflows. The organization’s mission is to transform pathology image analysis through artificial intelligence - improving accuracy, consistency, and speed in diagnostic decision-making. It operates under a SaaS business model, supplemented by usage-based fees for AI analysis and customization services.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business development and revenue growth across Central Europe, focusing on hospitals, reference laboratories, and life science organizations adopting digital pathology solutions.
  • Manage and expand key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction, retention, and growth through proactive engagement and strategic account planning.
  • Identify and close new business opportunities for the company’s AI-powered digital pathology platform and associated SaaS services.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across clinical diagnostics, pharma R&D, and academic institutions, including pathologists, IT teams, and procurement departments.
  • Partner with internal teams (AI science, product, marketing, implementation, and support) to ensure seamless onboarding, solution customization, and delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and workshops to promote AI-driven pathology solutions and strengthen brand visibility.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence on trends in AI diagnostics, digital pathology adoption, and competitor activities to inform go-to-market strategy.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting aligned with company sales processes and targets.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in Key Account Management or Sales within the Digital Pathology or related healthcare technology sector (e.g., medical imaging, LIS, AI diagnostics).
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and developing strategic relationships with hospitals, laboratories, and biotech/pharma clients in Central Europe.
  • Strong understanding of digital pathology workflows, including image analysis, data management, and integration with clinical systems.
  • Genuine passion for AI innovation in life sciences and the potential to transform diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience working with SaaS or cloud-based software models in a healthcare or regulated environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to convey technical concepts to both clinical and business audiences.
