The FUNDACIO INSTITUT D'INVESTIGACIO EN CIENCIES DE LA SALUT GERMANS TRIAS I PUJOL invites applications for a Junior Researcher to support the Diagnostic Technology Innovation Research Line from Innovation in Respiratory Infections and Tuberculosis.

The role involves microbiology lab tasks, clinical studies, and field work across clinical sites; requires biosciences degree and a master in biosciences, and experience in clinical microbiology and international projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in a Biosciences Health-related discipline (biology or similar)
• Master studies in Biosciences (especially in Tropical Diseases or One Health disciplines)
• Experience in clinical microbiology, especially in respiratory infections
• Previous participation in national and/or international research projects
• Experience in rapid tests for infectious diseases and its applicability
• Knowledge in healthcare, especially in field work and/or vulnerable population
• Previous experience in field research, especially in African countries
• Experience in managing statistical software packages
• Knowledge about the role of individual culture background in healthcare attention
• Good knowledge of English (preferably Advance C1 level)

We are looking for a Junior Researcher to give support into the Diagnostic Technology Innovation Research Line from Innovation in Respiratory Infections and Tuberculosis research group.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participation in microbiology laboratory tasks.
• Have an active role in the clinical studies of the research line.
• Working on the ground of different clinical sites.
• Degree in a Biosciences Health-related discipline (biology or similar)
• Master studies in Biosciences (especially in Tropical Diseases or One Health disciplines)

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in clinical microbiology, especially in respiratory infections
• Previous participation in national and/or international research projects
• Experience in rapid tests for infectious diseases and its applicability
• Knowledge in healthcare, especially in field work and/or vulnerable population

Additional Information

• 12 months of a half-time contract (20h/week)
• The period is starting first weeks of November 2026
• The annual remuneration inherent in the position that is the subject of this call will be set based on the experience provided and the aptitudes of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
• 23 vacation days and 5 days for personal matters.
• Training capsules paid by the company.

Selection process
