Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) on the Can Ruti Campus in Badalona seeks a part-time Data Assistant to support data collection, entry, and cleaning across study databases within the endocrinology research group.

You will perform data validation, maintain well-organised datasets, and contribute to data protection and quality standards, within a stimulating translational research environment.

Formación

• Enrolment in Medicine degree, preferably in final years.
• English proficiency: B2.

Job Description

Data assistant. Support collection, entry and cleaning of data across study databases. This role involves performing data validation checks and maintaining well‑organised datasets and data quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

The duties to be performed by the candidate will include: supporting the collection, entry, and cleaning of clinical data; performing basic data validation and quality checks. The candidate will also collaborate with the team to maintain accurate and well‑organised databases in accordance with established protocols and data protection standards, and will familiarise themselves with the background of endocrine diseases and the related projects of the endocrinology research group.

Qualifications And Experience

• Required level of education: Current enrolment in a Medicine degree, preferably in the final years of the program.
• English B2.
• Basic knowledge on spreadsheet tools and basic knowledge of biostatistics.
• Personal skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication and a proactive attitude. High level of responsibility and commitment to data quality and confidentiality.
• Required experience: previous exposure to data entry, database management and clinical research environments.
• Specific requirements established by the call or grant: Enrolment in the university degree programme in Medicine.
• Basic knowledge of clinical research processes and data management principles. Familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) or statistical software (especially STATA), and understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) will be positively valued.

• Working hours: 15 hours per week, for at least 3 months of duration.
• Date of incorporation: 01 October 2026
• Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

About Us

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community. The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
