Overview

Job Title: General Manager, Global Payroll & HCM Delivery - EMEA/LATAM/APJ

Location: Europe: fully remote with business travel.

General Manager – EMEA/LATAM/APJ HCM/Payroll is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic growth across the EMEA, LATAM, and APJ regions. With full P&L ownership, the GM focuses on profitability, EBITDA growth, and exceptional customer satisfaction, collaborating closely with Sales, product, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L Ownership: Develop and execute strategies to meet revenue and cost targets, monitor and manage all aspects of the P&L, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions.
  • EBITDA Focus: Optimize EBITDA through gross margin improvements, expense control, and pricing/service optimization.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline workflows, lead continuous improvement initiatives, deploy tools to enhance SLA delivery and scalability, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Customer Experience and NPS: Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, address detractor feedback, and align improvements with high-quality experiences.
  • Strategic Planning: Translate goals into regional strategies, respond to market trends, scale operations, and collaborate with product/tech to address client needs and renewals.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the regions; implement cost controls and monitor key metrics.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a global, hybrid team of over 4,000 employees, foster accountability and innovation, and provide mentorship.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure operations comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards; identify and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 10+ years of operational leadership with P&L ownership and EBITDA growth; extensive experience in the EMEA payroll and HCM space, with exposure to LATAM and APJ markets.
  • Proven ability to manage large hybrid teams of 4,000+ in global, multi-market environments.
  • Strong financial acumen, experience with budgeting/forecasting, process optimization (Lean/Six Sigma), and cross-functional leadership.
