Our goal is to strengthen the brand in Spain. We are looking for an expert to work as Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer!

As a Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility is to integrate cloud technologies with Linux operating systems. Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud computing to design, install, develop, configure, and maintain Linux-based cloud services that align with Achmea’s business objectives. Working within an Agile environment, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

Key Responsibilities

We seek a Senior Engineer with at least 12+ years of experience in Linux and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Ansible. The candidate should be capable of leading a team, mentoring junior engineers, and being hands-on with implementation.

Leadership and Mentorship

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding successful project delivery.
  • Coaching: Use your extensive experience to coach team members and foster professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams for project alignment.

Linux Administration

  • Manage and maintain Linux servers for high availability, performance, and security.
  • Identify and resolve server issues to minimize downtime.

Azure Cloud

  • Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Microsoft Azure.
  • Enforce secure password policies.

Storage Management

  • Configure and manage LVM (Logical Volume Manager).

Ansible Administration

  • Strong understanding of Ansible architecture and components.
  • Create and manage roles, collections, and playbooks for automation.
  • Automate administrative and infrastructure tasks with Ansible.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure security compliance.
  • Implement performance monitoring solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, SLES) and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Certifications and Education

  • Azure Associate certification or equivalent.
  • Linux (RHEL, SLES) and Ansible certifications preferred.
  • Additional cloud (AZ400, AZ900) and RedHat (EX294) certifications are advantageous.

Additional Skills

  • Proficiency in Python scripting.
  • Basic network troubleshooting and security principles.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs/services.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
