What we look for

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Engineer ( Snowflake ) with strong SQL & Python skills. Experience with Snowflake Data Engineering or cloud databases in general is highly desirable, as we are transferring many data sources and pipelines to Snowflake cloud databases. Familiarity with Airflow and DBT is also advantageous.

This is a 100% remote position for candidates located in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake.
  • Optimize Snowflake data warehouse performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Implement Python in data engineering tasks within a commercial setting.
  • Utilize DBT for data transformation workflows.
  • Apply best practices in ETL / ELT patterns, ensure idempotency, and maintain high-quality, well-documented code.
  • Write optimized SQL code and understand different SQL engines.
  • Follow agile methodologies, participate in ceremonies, and contribute to team success.
  • Build robust data pipelines capable of handling failures and maintaining metadata.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Snowflake data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering.
  • Experience with DBT.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and team collaboration.
  • Ability to build fault-tolerant data pipelines with metadata management.

Optional Skills

  • Snowflake or DBT certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra.
