Novastone Capital Advisors (NCA) is a global firm that solves succession challenges faced by Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Through our Operator-Led Search Fund Program, we provide a structured and scalable solution for business succession, ensuring lasting success for all stakeholders. NCA is looking for motivated, talented, aspirational mid-career professionals with the ambition to partner with NCA to search, acquire, and lead a small or medium-sized enterprise as Chief Executive Officer.

As an NCA Searcher, you will spearhead a 24-month professional search to acquire one small to medium-sized company. You will have access to financial and business support from NCA during the search, along with an attractive incentive package comprising a base salary and vested shares in the acquired company to support your entrepreneurial journey.

Successful candidates will search, acquire, and manage a company in Spain.

SEARCHER RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Establish a search process aiming to generate deal flow to find a business to acquire according to predefined criteria
2. Manage the acquisition process with support from our experienced Investment Management team
3. Step into the CEO role of the acquired business
4. Proactively generate and evaluate strategic growth options and develop long-term business strategies and 100-day plans
5. Grow the business top line via impactful marketing and sales initiatives
6. Review product/service offerings, portfolio strategies, existing brand positioning, identify gaps, and implement improvements
7. Manage geographical expansions, preparing and executing market entry strategies
8. Ensure profitability and operational efficiency

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of professional experience
• Executive MBA or MBA preferred
• At least 5 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams across geographies
• Over 10 years of proven experience in running and growing businesses in Spain
• P&L responsibility
• Strategic vision for a sector or industry
• Strong motivation for entrepreneurship
• Fluent in English and Spanish

NICE-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• M&A experience
• Consulting experience from top firms
• Experience managing or operating an SME
• Founder or co-founder of a startup
• Experience in global business development and international expansion
• Recent successful business transformation experience
• Open-mindedness towards learning, people, and failure

SELECTION PROCESS

• Multiple in-depth interviews, online assessments, business case presentations, and jury review of investment thesis over several weeks
• Webinars for program information and team interaction
• Final assessment in December 2025
