Responsibilities

  • Act as the interlocutor of the assigned accounts, represent the chain commercially and present the products of Barceló Hotel Group.
  • Execute the actions approved in the action plan of the segment and the assigned accounts.
  • Achieve the objectives and budgets established by the hotels for the segment.
  • Participate in the different promotional activities and sales actions affecting the segment, such as national and international fairs and conventions, in accordance with the program established in the Action Plan.
  • Maintain permanent contact with the assigned accounts (client retention).
  • Constantly prospect the market: evaluate the incorporation of new accounts into the client portfolio.
  • Control and analyze the information of the periodic production reports with regard to the assigned accounts and communicate potential deviations to the Segment Director.
  • Know the competition and stay up to date with the latest market trends.
  • Coordinate visits to the hotels of the segment accounts, accompanying them during appointments and facilitating meetings with clients.
  • Coordinate joint actions, planned in the action plan, with other segments of the chain and with hotels that may be involved.
  • Know the characteristics of the hotels and their attributes to advise the client on destinations and hotels, carrying out presentations for clients when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the norms and procedures established in relation to the compliance of the established norms in the CRM and control of productions.
  • Always maintain a professional image, both in appearance and conduct, when dealing with a client or any other company that has a professional relationship with the Barceló Group.
  • Respect and promote the philosophy and values of the Barceló Group.
  • Be able to anticipate what each action means for the business and know how to work with information, statistics and financial data when making decisions.
  • Know how to evaluate results.
  • Have a business vision short term and long term and know how to adapt strategies according to the current situation of the hotels.
  • Know how to communicate effectively with clients and hotels, establishing long‑lasting professional relationships.
