From the Veolia WTS division, we are seeking a Mechanical Specialist Operator for the Adeje-Arona desalination plant. The selected candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance and related operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Preventive maintenance of installations: vibration analysis, temperature checks, alignment, lubrication, oil changes, etc.
2. Diagnosis and repair of faults.
3. Component inspection.
4. Interpretation of mechanical plans and disassemblies.
5. Stock control of spare parts, request for quotes, supervision of contractors.
6. Supervision of external work: machine shops, electric motor repairs, etc.

Qualifications:

• FP II level education, Middle Grade Vocational Training.
• At least 2 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic, performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Experience in replacing bearings, mechanical seals, oil seals, gaskets, etc.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing various types of pumps (submersible, centrifugal, dosing, etc.).
• Experience in maintaining and repairing agitators.
• Ability to interpret assembly plans and disassemblies.
• Knowledge in performing precision adjustments.
