Overview

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Regional Sales Manager North West Europe/ Iberia to join our team in either Spain or Portugal.

The Regional Sales Manager will maximise the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory with a focus on developing sales opportunities, customer account management and driving contribution to the hotels within the region(s) in which they are located and/or allocated.

The region is North West Europe/ Iberia with a focus on Iberia and the UK. They will be tasked with creating opportunities to manage and develop existing National and Regional Accounts whilst focusing equally on developing new business accounts across all market segments to drive contribution to a defined set of hotels. This position requires a sales approach acting in partnership with all their clients and their travel intermediaries, thereby delivering incremental revenue and increased market share for the hotels, franchise partners and WHR. As a Regional Sales Manager they will work to meet or exceed agreed annual revenue goals by taking sole responsibility for their portfolio of clients.

Key objectives include devising, instigating and implementing sales plans for top clients; negotiating and contracting rates for key clients across segments within the designated WHR region; managing relevant group leads and RFPs through Wyndham Sales Systems; and driving revenue growth through agreed targets and performance metrics.

A monthly average of 25+ sales appointments or calls for the year is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Account Management & New Business Development — identify and secure new accounts for hotels within the territory in conjunction with participating properties.
  • Pipeline development — build and deploy robust plans with revenue and RN targets by segment: Corporate Transient, Group/MICE, Leisure groups & FIT.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key leisure Tour Operators, Corporate Clients, Travel Agencies and MICE Companies to drive business to the hotels.
  • Devise and deliver strategies to maximise hotel revenue and contribute to EMEA targets.
  • Franchisee Relations — work with franchise and management partners to understand needs and educate on WHR Commercial Tools by visiting hotels in the territory.
  • Internal Relations & Systems — collaborate with WHR units and utilise tools to achieve goals.
  • Industry Participation — represent WHR at industry events and become an active member of industry associations.
  • Self-Development — continually enhance knowledge to stay up to date with market trends and prepare for additional responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • College/University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in hospitality or a commercial discipline.
  • Significant experience in hotel sales (property, national or global); multi-segment knowledge preferred.
  • Full local driving license preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; an additional European language (Spanish) is an advantage.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with hospitality sales systems.
