General Description

The Popular Inc. Digital and Payment Product team is looking for a Product Manager who is excited to ideate, evaluate, research, and build. We have embarked on a journey to rethink every element our Consumer and Commercial Payment offering experience and build a customer centered, future compatible, differentiated product portfolio.

The ideal candidate should have clear understanding of Payments Services and Product like P2P, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), Digital Wallet, Merchant Acquiring Services (POS, checkout, online payment processing), Account Receivables and Accounts Payable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Define platform and product requirements, gather and document client need / pain points and document user stories, define UX/UI features to deliver best in class client experience for a future compatible, differentiated Digital Banking Platform.

Lead scrum teams and complies with role’s responsibilities as Product Owner

Own and manage product roadmap, conduct product prioritization and stakeholder alignment and oversee product release plans.

Evaluate products / services from providers to create a robust ecosystem of services geared towards business and corporate clients

Lead the product development and conduct competitor analysis, define and prioritize business requirements, define product roll-out strategy, & streamline operational processes.

Gather competitive insight and SWOT analysis on capability, sales, implementation and service effectiveness.

Leverage internal data, client feedback and market insights, as well as his/her own experience to pro-actively identify opportunities for enhancements, close competitive gaps, make process improvements to increase client satisfaction.

Lead the day to day product management tasks, support client acquisitions, monitoring performance & track program growth, manage vendor relationships, oversee service effectiveness, develop marketing materials and conduct training.

Partner with sales to gather client feedback, structure, price and execute the deals; Stay in-tuned with market / competition, keep up with industry knowledge / innovations to be a Subject Matter Expert for product stakeholders (sales, service, implementation as well as risk teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product development, sales, marketing, credit, legal, finance, compliance, operations and executive management to translate business needs into a product strategy that ensures we maintain a highly competitive market position.

Actively participate in other initiatives to achieve business goals as needed.

Use KPIs to assesses potential and value, enabling key decisions and Prepare reports for management regarding market and technology trends to obtain a better understanding regarding customer’s voice



At least 5 years of Product Management experience and clear understanding Cash Management products; Experience of Accounts Receivables products is a plus.

Must know what it takes to deliver & manage products and services in partnership with 3rd party vendors and cross functional stakeholders within a bank.

Must be comfortable in using and analyzing data to conduct research and competitor analysis; Prior research and survey experience in collaboration with 3rd party vendors is a plus.

Experience with design thinking and agile development is desirable. Ability to think strategically as well as to be able to manage details will be a critical skill-set for success.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency of MS Office suite is a must.

Ability to plan, manage, collaborate, and influence cross regional and cross-functional teams.

Ability to identify opportunities, quickly understand complex challenges and define / implement improvements in a matrixed organization.

Excellent communications skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
