Director of Development

The Lensic seeks a full-time Director of Development to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will have an established background and proven track record of creating and executing successful fundraising plans, ideally with a nonprofit arts organization. This position reports to the executive director and is part of the leadership team.

The Development Director will be responsible for managing a 3- to 5-person team while leading annual campaigns (individual, corporate, and foundation giving).

Our ideal candidate must be able to communicate, socialize, and cultivate a wide range of supporters and patrons, including board members and major donors. They must have strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Also required are budget management experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and previous experience with research and grant writing for foundations and corporations.

Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of fundraising and development experience. Prior experience and familiarity with Tessitura is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the applicant’s track record of fundraising.
