Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

The Role: 

We are seeking a Director, FP&A to be based in the company's San Juan headquarters. We are entrepreneurial, fast- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

As the Director, FP&A, you will be responsible for leading the fiscal plan and the operating budget process, coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders in that process.  This person will oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, updating the analysis to align with most recent results, and preparing management reports/ summaries of financial performance. The candidate will also lead the quarterly budget to actual analysis required by regulators.  The Director, FP&A will maintain and continually improve the accuracy of the company’s financial and cash liquidity forecasting and will be responsible for overseeing internal and external team resources. 

What you will do:

• Assist in coordinating all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and the quarterly budget to actual variance reporting,
• Work closely between Accounting, Treasury, and 3^rd party teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
• Coordinate and lead the fiscal year and operating budget process.
• Lead the financial and liquidity forecasting process.
• Support the Finance team by building out reports and running ad hoc analyses to understand project-level performance and operations.
• Improve and streamline company reporting procedures and operating processes related to the reporting of actual financial results across all financial statements.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• 5+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Power generation and utility industry experience is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong modeling and financial analysis skills, coupled with an understanding and interest in financial reporting systems and processes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, strategic and implementation skills.
• Highly driven, quick thinker and problem-solver; impeccable integrity and a strong personal work ethic.
• Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
