City Experiences is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager for our HMS operation in Puerto Rico.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Senior Compliance Manager will support successful contract performance of the Puerto Rico Ferry contract by completing routine compliance tasks, working on assigned projects, and providing administrative support in accordance
with contract requirements and FTA regulations. This position will advise the Operational Team on the best contractual strategy with an eye toward reducing costs and contractual risks and increasing profits.

  • Responsible for timely submission of contract deliverables including a variety of reports, correspondence, documents, and mandatory filings.
  • Draft precise contractual correspondence and compile necessary information for required reports.
  • Maintain and update digital system of contractual records, correspondence, documentation, expiration dates, and other records.
  • Provide contractual interpretation on different provisions to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks, including making recommendations and ensuring all project contributors are suitably aware of contract terms.
  • Collaborate with other corporate departments including Engineering, Marine Operations, IT, Marketing and Finance to resolve compliance-related issues and monitor their contract deliverables.
  • Manage and complete assigned projects in connection with contract deliverables including, but not limited to, insurance, subcontractor contracts, cost/benefit analysis, procurement projects, peer review projects, and other projects as assigned by the VP of Contract Administration.
  • Prepare and maintain audit ready contract files to ensure successful government audit results.
  • Safety First. Be an active advocate of, and participant in, the HMS Safety Culture. Safety shall always remain the highest priority at all times.

  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general office etiquette and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must be organized and able to maintain an efficient office environment
  • Must be proactive – able to anticipate needs of the Directors, operations, employees, HR, etc. and act accordingly
  • Must be willing to work in as well as adapt to an ever-changing work environment
  • Must have maintain a positive attitude
  • Must demonstrate high level of reliability, be able to prioritize multiple tasks and be attentive to detail
