Job Summary.
The purpose of the Rig Performance Consultant is to coach personnel on the daily operations of the rig controls (Amphion or Cyberbase Controls), provide advice during drilling operations and assess the competency of the drilling staff while using the rig controls. When training deficiencies are identified, Rig Performance Consultants are also able to recommend training to further develop the skills of the drilling personnel. The RPC to provide consultancy onboard the rig. Also Work closely with all relevant departments to support and train internal and external customers in NOV technological fields. Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs and courses. Developing training materials to support the needs of the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Devise technical training programs according to organizational requirements that will fulfil the customer needs.
- Determine course content according to objectives.
- Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.).
- Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually.
- Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed.
- Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
- Observe and evaluate results of training programs.
- Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven experience as technical instructor.
- Solid knowledge of Drilling Industry.
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.
- Experience in designing technical course content.
- Ability to address training needs with complete courses.
- Working knowledge in MS Office.
- Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Degree in a relevant technical field.
- Drilling Industry training (i.e. Well Control, Drilling Technology, IADC, etc.)
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
Essential:
- Degree in Drilling or Petroleum Industry with minimum 3 years experience as a Driller.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Drilling Industry training (i.e. Well Control, Drilling Technology, IADC, etc.)
- Knowledge of various training and teaching methods.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Presentation and Communication Skills.
- Computer Skills.
- Write, Read, and Speak of English Languag.
Desirable:
- Trilingual is preferred (English, Arabic, Hindi).
- Good Time Management Skills.
- Knowledge of NOV Drilling Operating Controls Systems.
