Job Description

KeyRequirements and Qualifications

· Minimum 7 years of experience asOracle DBA on Linux or Unix platform

o Note: Quality of work experiencewill be rated higher than quantity, meaning candidates with less years ofexperience might be considered if they are demonstrating exceptional skills

· With vendor management experiencein the region

· Any Oracle certification is highlypreferred

· All technologies certifications aplus

· Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Business IT, Management IT, Economical IT,engineering or a related technical discipline

Skillsand Competencies

· Expertise in systems and databaseadministration

· Very good knowledge of enterprisestorage technologies and architecture

· Very good knowledge of virtualisationtechnologies and products such as VMWare and Oracle VM

· Knowledge of Change Managementframeworks such as ITIL

· Very Good knowledge of networkinfrastructure

· Sound knowledge of backup softwareand strategies

· Very good command of written andspoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage

· Good leadership skills includingpeople management, selection and development skills

· Very good analytical, planning,forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills

· Results oriented whilst ensuringhigh quality of work

· Strong level of customer serviceorientation and professionalism in all interactions

· Good knowledge of health insuranceconcepts
