We are looking for a Tax Manager with experience in VAT, ESR, UBO, and AML. You will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of clients as well as business development.

Requirements
- Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 4 years experience in VAT roles in the UAE
- ACCA/CIMA/CA Qualified (will not consider CMA/CFA)
- Fluent in English (written/spoken) and strong communication skills
- Driving Licence
- Tax Agent (desirable)
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Tax Manager will include, but not be limited to;
- Business development – will be required to bring clients into the business
- Advise clients on VAT matters, review VAT procedures and business processes in line with the VAT Law to ensure VAT compliance, ensure effective VAT Controls are in place, and review VAT Returns prior to filing
- Ensure correct and timely filing of all indirect tax compliance based on country-specific tax calendars
- Review of all VAT submissions prior to submission to clients
- Manage changes and updates from authorities and actively manage unclear positions with authorities
- Manage tax audits and clarification requests from Tax authorities, ensure timely payment of tax liabilities and follow up on tax refunds
- Manage the review of positions on tax accounts and ensure a correct representation of tax balances on the general ledger
- Management of a portfolio of clients and maintaining good rapport with them
- Conduct relevant workshops/training throughout the year to keep business up to date on VAT compliance regulations
- Maintain and upgrade professional knowledge, management skills, and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools
- Continual development of the team and develop a training plan for junior members of the team
