Our fantastic referral client have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join the team as a Prep Veterinary Nurse in one of their 2 state-of-the-art referral centres in Surrey.

The role will see you providing anaesthesia, surgical and diagnostic nursing care to all patients passing through the preparation and theatre areas.
You will take direction from the Floor Coordinator and Head Nurse and be responsible for delivering a high level of nursing care to the patient you are assigned to through the entire anaesthesia/surgical/diagnostic process.

It is essential that you are qualified as a Veterinary Nurse and are registered with the RCVS.
You must be prepared to do shift work including weekends, bank holidays, night duties and on-call rotas on a rotational basis.
It would be desirable to have experience of working in a referral setting and have, or be working towards, an advanced veterinary nurse qualification but this is not essential.

The team are looking for someone who has the ability to work as a team player, you must have solid basic nursing skills - taking bloods and IV cannula placement and a good level of basic anaesthesia knowledge. The preferred candidate will be competent in client communication and be happy to be part of the nursing rota covering out of hours and weekends. You will need to be driven, exceptionally organised, have excellent communication skills and be able to support the 24/7 team environment.
