Synopsis

Lead the portfolio operations with experience in leading, managing, and developing an interdisciplinary team; building and managing strong internal and external relationships; and prioritizing high-quality effective ongoing operations while driving forward real progress on projects and initiatives. Optimizes operations of the EAT function, ensuring an efficient and consistent set of processes and procedures, and driving initiatives that create best-in-class customer experience. A commitment to excellence is demonstrated through driving people development programs enhancing employee engagement, knowledge, skills, and morale

Accountabilities

• Provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to efficiently drive day-to-day operations to ensure the achievement of objectives, targets, and strategic plans within the EAT.
• Establish and develop objectives with a rigorous focus on operational discipline and excellence in execution by developing Standard Operating Procedures for new and existing processes
• Implement better support processes to increase client satisfaction and handle escalations coming from our support specialist in tricky situations
• Develop strategies to ensure the customer experience in EAT is consistent with overall company strategy and values, and drive initiatives that maintain this alignment
• Ensure progress across a wide variety of functional activities including product strategy, finance, marketing, data & analytics, and stakeholder engagement for day-to-day operations for the team
• Implement change to ensure the business has fit-for-purpose operational capabilities to rapidly accelerate top line growth.
• Develop and maintain research and development programmes to ensure that the company remains at the forefront in the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, provides a leading edge, unique service which ensures the company remains competitive

Education & Experience

• Experience in the aviation training industry is a must.
• Relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• B achelor's degree or diploma from a recognised University

Based in Abu Dhabi and part of ADQ Aviation & Aerospace Services, Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) is an Approved Training Organization (ATO) located in the capital of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi. EAT provide an extensive portfolio of aviation training courses and programs covering all areas of pilot, cabin crew and airport operations. The courses vary from Ab-initio pilot license, Airbus and Boeing type ratings, instructor and examiner training, cabin crew training, English Language Proficiency testing, First Aid. With the recent inclusion of Gulf Center for Aviation Studies (GCAS), one of a few centers globally accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), EAT offer includes training programs focused on Airport Operations, Aviation Safety, Aviation Security, Cargo & Dangerous Goods, and non-aviation training such as Health & Safety, Leadership & Management, Soft Skills. EAT’s training center is approved by several Civil Aviation Authorities including GCAA (UAE), EASA (Europe) and QCAA (Qatar). Training at EAT is conducted by using its state-of-the-art training center featuring 10 Full-Flight Simulators (Airbus and Boeing), 7 Flight Training Devices and 2 Flight Navigation Procedural trainers.
