Job Responsibilities:

Review MEP deliverables including but not limited to the following:

• Deliverables related to Building MEP layouts, Utility layouts etc.

• Layouts and details of the HVAC, potable water, sewer and firefighting systems

• HVAC system and its components design reviews

• Firefighting and potable water system and its components design reviews

• Layouts and Details of the Potable water, Fire Water and Strom water pump stations elements including the pumps, pipes, valves and fittings etc.

• Pump selection, Chiller selection and pipe sizing for all disciplines

• Typical and standard details

Ensure deliverables are coordinated with the other disciplines and comply to contract obligations
Maintain compliance to Authority standards and specifications
Ensure proper interface with existing infrastructure, ongoing and future projects

Appropriate assumptions / factors taken during the review process
Manage Health, Safety & Environmental issues associated with the design
Maintain accuracy in records for works completed

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution

• Possess minimum of 10 years buildings experience with at least 5 years work in the UAE in a similar position.

• Grade A office building design experience is a must.

• Strong knowledge of the Authority requirements and standards.

• Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural engineering team.

• Excellent knowledge of the MEP disciplines and its coordination works.

• Ability to coordinate and meet with the Designers, Contractor’s and Authorities.
