Job summary

Boyum IT Solutions seeks a VP People & Culture to lead the global People agenda, shaping leadership, culture and people practices to support growth. This senior role reports to the CEO and collaborates with senior leaders across the organization.

The role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution, advising on organizational design, workforce planning and employee experience while ensuring governance and compliance.

Job description

We are looking for a VP People & Culture to lead Boyum IT’s global People agenda and help ensure that our organization, leadership, culture and people practices continue to support our business ambitions and long-term growth.

This is a senior leadership role with direct reporting to the CEO and close collaboration with leaders across the organization.

A central part of the role is to be a visible ambassador for Boyum IT’s culture and values. Our Energy for LIFE culture is an important part of who we are, and the VP People & Culture will play a key role in protecting, strengthening and evolving that culture as the company develops.

The role combines strategic People leadership with a pragmatic and hands‑on approach. You will advise the CEO and senior leadership on organizational, and people and culture matters while ensuring that our People practices, leadership capabilities and employee experience work effectively in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy, Organization & Leadership

• Lead the global People strategy aligned with Boyum IT’s business priorities.
• Advise the CEO and senior leadership on people, organization, leadership and culture.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession and leadership development.
• Use workforce data and insights to support business and organizational decisions.

Culture & Employee Experience

• Act as a visible culture ambassador and role model for Boyum IT and Energy for LIFE.
• Protect and strengthen the culture as the organization develops and changes.
• Ensure culture is reflected in leadership behaviour, collaboration, decision‑making and People practices.
• Oversee engagement, well‑being, retention and employee experience.
• Translate employee feedback into meaningful improvements.

Talent, Performance & Reward

• Oversee attraction, development and retention of talent.
• Ensure meaningful leadership and specialist career paths.
• Lead the approach to performance, development, compensation and benefits in collaboration with leaders and Finance.

Change, Governance & Risk

• Lead the people and culture aspects of transformation, restructuring and M&A integration.
• Ensure scalable global People policies, governance and employment compliance.
• Oversee employee relations, employment risk and relevant external stakeholder relationships.

People Operations, Data & ESG

• Lead and develop the People team.
• Ensure efficient and scalable People operations and continue developing HiBob as our central HR platform.
• Use People data and analytics to support decisions.
• Own the people-related ESG and social sustainability agenda in partnership with Finance.

Leadership expectations

As VP People & Culture, you are expected to lead beyond the People function. You put Boyum IT’s overall interests ahead of functional interests, act as a trusted and constructive advisor to the CEO and leadership team and combine strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.

You build trust across countries and functions, create clarity and accountability, and consistently role-model our Energy for LIFE culture.

What we expect you to bring

• 10+ years of progressive People/HR experience, including senior HR leadership responsibility.
• Strong business understanding and the ability to translate business priorities into organizational, leadership and people priorities.
• Experience with organizational development, leadership advisory, workforce planning, talent, succession and change.
• International experience from a multi‑country organization.
• Experience leading and developing a People/HR team.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to advise and challenge senior leaders constructively.
• A pragmatic and hands‑on approach, with the ability to move between strategic topics and day‑to‑day realities.
• High integrity, sound judgment and discretion.
• Full professional proficiency in English; German is a strong advantage.
• Experience from a private equity-backed environment and/or M&A or integration work is a strong advantage.
