Trial Resource and Performance Senior Manager

Category: Clinical Development

Location: Søborg, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do you enjoy advising senior leaders and turning complex information into strategic recommendations? Join us to strengthen how one of the world’s largest clinical development organisations plans resources, monitors performance and delivers its global clinical trial portfolio.

Your new role

As Senior Manager in Trial Resource & Performance Management, you will work at the intersection of strategy, operations and analytics. Acting as a trusted advisor to Global Trial Portfolio leadership, you will translate complex data into clear recommendations and help leaders make informed decisions about resources, capacity and portfolio priorities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with Global Trial Portfolio leadership to provide strategic guidance on resource planning and organisational performance.
  • Driving global resource planning and capacity management, including scenario analyses and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
  • Creating transparency around resource allocation and portfolio performance across Clinical Operations, Trial Operations, and Clinical Data Management and Programming.
  • Help develop meaningful performance metrics and reporting that help leaders identify opportunities, risks and improvement areas.
  • Leading improvements to resource management processes, governance and digital solutions while strengthening cross-functional planning and execution.

The role offers broad organisational exposure and an opportunity to shape decisions that influence the execution of Novo Nordisk’s clinical development trial portfolio. Success will require curiosity, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively while building strong, trusted partnerships.

Your new department

In Research & Development, you will be part of an organisation that explores scientific ideas and advances them into clinical testing. Through collaboration and operational excellence, we help shape and deliver an innovative pipeline intended to meet future patient needs.

Trial Resource & Performance Management is part of the Trial Portfolio and Allocation department within Global Trial Portfolio. We are a small, highly collaborative team with broad organisational impact. Our mission is to enable better decisions through transparent resource planning, performance insights and strategic business partnering.

We work closely with Vice President areas across Clinical Operations, Trial Operations, and Clinical Data Management and Programming. By translating complex information into actionable recommendations, you will help strengthen the planning and execution of an ambitious clinical development portfolio. We value collaboration, curiosity and a supportive working environment.

Your skills and qualifications

You are comfortable analysing complex business challenges and engaging with senior stakeholders. You can navigate ambiguity, influence decisions through data and build productive relationships across organisational boundaries.

We imagine that you have:

  • A master’s degree in business administration, economics, Life Sciences or another relevant discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in business partnering, portfolio management, resource planning, consulting, clinical development or trial operations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience translating complex information into clear, practical business recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, structured and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to influence without formal authority and a genuine curiosity about improving how work is done.

Experience from the pharmaceutical industry or clinical development is an advantage. It is not a prerequisite if you have demonstrated an ability to understand complex organisational environments quickly.
