Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hybrid X-Ray/CT role requiring at least one year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist.

Details

• Hybrid multimodality role covering X-Ray and CT exams across two locations
• Acute Care Hospital main campus and an 11-bed freestanding Emergency Department with X-ray and CT at the second site
• Adult acute care patient population
• One multimodality tech staffs each 12-hour shift at the freestanding ER location
• Schedule is Friday-Sunday, 2 days and 1 night: Friday 6:30a-7p at the main campus, Saturday 6:30a-7p and Sunday 6:30p-7a at the second location
• On-call rotation required among staff at the freestanding ER location only
• Weekend work may be required if on-call shifts go unfilled
• Uses Epic EMR and PACS imaging system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist
• ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
• BLS and CPR certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
• License required if applicable
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
• Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration

• Performs CT scans and radiographic exams on designated anatomical areas per established protocols
• Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns
• Scrub color requirement: black pants with teal top
• No parking cost at the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local designation
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
