Job summary

IFF is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax operations across multiple EMEA countries, including Denmark, Belgium, and Spain. You will lead tax compliance, provide expert guidance, and manage audits and controversy matters while partnering with tax advisors and authorities.

You will drive tax planning opportunities, support transfer pricing coordination, and contribute to global tax initiatives within a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of tax experience in a multinational organization and/or tax advisory, legal, or accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of European and international tax regulations.
• Fluency in English and Danish; French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data collection and review of tax returns across assigned EMEA countries with external advisors.
• Oversee the tax provision process for EMEA countries within scope.
• Serve as primary tax contact for external advisors and local authorities; manage audits and controversies.
• Provide practical tax guidance to stakeholders and inform on regulatory developments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance tax efficiency and support planning initiatives.
• Partner with Transfer Pricing team to monitor policies and coordinate adjustments; ensure compliance.
• Represent EMEA in global tax planning initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Recommend improvements to tax-related systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Proactively identify tax risks and assist with governance and risk management.

Job Summary

As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing IFF’s tax operations across multiple EMEA countries, primarily Denmark, Belgium, and Spain. You will lead tax compliance, provide expert tax advice, and manage tax audits and controversy matters. The role involves building strong relationships with tax advisors and authorities, as well as identifying and advancing tax planning opportunities that create value and support IFF’s broader business objectives.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Ensure tax compliance obligations are met across your assigned EMEA countries by coordinating data collection, reviewing tax returns, and partnering with external tax advisors to deliver accurate and timely filings.
• Oversee the tax provision process for the EMEA countries within your scope of responsibility.
• Serve as the primary tax contact for external tax advisors and local tax authorities, managing tax audits and other tax-related matters.
• Act as a trusted business partner, providing practical tax guidance and keeping stakeholders informed of relevant tax legislative developments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance tax efficiency and support the implementation of tax planning initiatives.
• Partner with the internal Transfer Pricing team to monitor transfer pricing policies, support process implementation, coordinate transfer pricing adjustments, and ensure compliance with local transfer pricing requirements.
• Represent the EMEA region in global tax planning initiatives, business projects, and M&A activities.
• Recommend and drive improvements to tax-related systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Proactively identify tax risks and help ensure compliance with tax governance and risk management frameworks.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of tax experience gained within a multinational organization and/or a tax advisory, legal, or accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of European and international tax regulations.
• Experience with international tax compliance, tax provisioning, and tax reporting requirements.
• Solid tax accounting knowledge combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with tax and accounting systems, including SAP.
• Fluency in English and Danish is required; French language skills are considered an advantage.
