Job summary

ABB is seeking a Student Analyst to join the Electrification Ventures team in Copenhagen. You will work across the full venture investment cycle—from sourcing and screening startups to due diligence, valuation, investment proposals and portfolio management.

You will gain hands-on exposure to venture capital and corporate venture investing, handling live opportunities with senior colleagues. The role offers flexibility around exams and responsibilities in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• In the first year of a master’s degree or in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from a leading institution with top results in relevant subjects.
• Relevant experience from student positions or internships, preferably in corporate development/venturing, VC funds, M&A, consultancy, tech startups or similar.
• Strong financial and analytical skills; experience with financial modelling, valuation or business plan analysis is an advantage.
• Interest in electrifying the world through technology and innovation.
• Creative, energetic, self-motivated, flexible team player with an ability to work independently and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in due diligence of potential investments with focus on financial valuations and business plan evaluations for technology companies.
• Identify and assess investment opportunities based on investment themes and strategic priorities.
• Support preparation of investment proposals and collaboration with relevant businesses to explore interest and strategic fit.
• Support portfolio monitoring, quarterly reporting and valuation of existing investments.
• Contribute to ad-hoc and cross-functional projects relating to Electrification Ventures.
