Job description

Quote

You’ll work closely with skilled colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge, while taking responsibility for tasks that give you hands-on experience with risk management.

Here’s what the job entails

As a Junior Risk Analyst, your primary role will be to support the team with daily reporting and help ensure that our data is accurate and up to date. You will also analyse PnL to investigate and explain changes in results and contribute to improving the way we work, for example by automating reporting and monitoring processes. Along the way, you will gain hands‑on experience with risk management and insights into our business.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • managing monthly reporting processes and execution for key stakeholders, including executive level
  • supporting reporting activities across multiple business units and building an understanding of the business
  • helping automate processes and data flows, including exploring how AI solutions can create value for the team
  • developing monitoring and reporting tools together with colleagues to provide better insights into business activities and support decision‑making across Risk Management and beyond
Meet your team

You will join our Risk Control team, where we monitor and report on Danske Commodities’ market risk exposure and PnL. By providing transparency into risks and results, we help the business manage exposures while partnering with our trading teams to support informed decision‑making and active risk management.

We are a team of committed and skilled risk analysts who help and motivate each other to continuously improve. Collaboration is an important part of our work, and will interact with colleagues across Risk, other supporting functions and our trading teams.

But enough about us… over to you!

As you will be working with data and reporting, we imagine that you have a structured and detail‑oriented approach to working with data and are excited to apply this in daily problem‑solving. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, so we are looking for someone who is curious, proactive and motivated by turning data into precise and useful insights.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • are currently studying a relevant education within finance, physics, mathematics, economics, business intelligence or similar
  • enjoy working with data and are curious to learn more about finance and risk management
  • have some experience with Python and data analysis – and are motivated to develop your skills further
  • are proficient in English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
