Job summary

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of Culture and Communication at Aalborg University invites applications for a student assistant position with the DEMOS Research Group. The role is 8 hours per week and part-time, temporary for more than 6 months, supporting digital communication initiatives.

You will manage DEMOS’ social media, update the Umbraco-based website and blog, assist with the DEMOS podcast, and help coordinate seminars and webinars.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at a higher education institution or a medium-length higher education program.
• Experience with social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) a plus.
• Familiarity with Umbraco CMS for website updates.

Responsibilities

• Manage DEMOS’ social media presence across X, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, including updates and follower engagement.
• Maintain the DEMOS website via Umbraco and keep content current.
• Update the DEMOS blog.
• Support the DEMOS podcast, including planning, content creation and technical support.
• Assist with seminars and events, coordinating Zoom/Teams webinars and managing recordings.
