Job summary

Demant in Denmark is seeking a Student Assistant in Direct Strategic Procurement to gain practical experience in an international team of Category Managers and Procurement Program Managers.

You will contribute to developing and executing tenders, support supplier evaluations, and help drive cost-saving initiatives while coordinating with stakeholders across Operations, R&D, Quality, Production, Legal and Marketing.

Are you looking for an exciting student job where you can get practical experience working in an international team of highly skilled and motivated Category Managers and Procurement Program Managers? Are you interested in stakeholder management, supplier relationship management and category management? Then you may be our new Student Assistant in Direct Strategic Procurement.

About The Job

You will become part of the Direct Strategic Procurement team within the Global Procurement organization, and work in close collaboration with many business stakeholders. More specifically, you will be involved developing and executing tenders and supporting the Category Managers in their strategic initiatives with our suppliers, as well as supporting the Program Managers on the Strategic Cost & Improvement Program.

Consequently, your areas of responsibility and your tasks are very broad and varied. Some of your tasks include:

• Support the team in sourcing, supplier evaluation and selection processes.
• Help manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Support the Category Managers and Program Managers in their work across our stakeholder landscape, Operations, R&D, Quality, Production, Legal and Marketing.

Your background and personal competencies

You are ideally on your Bachelors within business administration or Supply Chain and have a keen interest in pursuing a career within procurement. Your style of work is characterized by being proactive. Working independently and taking responsibility is second nature to you. You are someone who likes taking tasks, implementing them and seeing them to completion. To be considered for this position you must be actively enrolled in studies in Denmark, and available to work 1-2 days a week on average.

To achieve growth in your new role, you possess the following qualities

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
