Job summary

Alstom in Denmark seeks a procurement professional to define and execute sourcing strategies, ensuring strong supplier relationships and efficient procurement processes. You will work closely with Project Procurement Managers and Global Commodity Managers to drive negotiations from RFQ to supplier award.

We value candidates with 2+ years in procurement or project management, knowledge of supplier management, and fluent English; Danish language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Experience or understanding of Procurement and/or Project Management (minimum 2 years)
• Knowledge of supplier relationship management, procurement processes, and commodity strategies.
• Familiarity with SAP and MS Office tools
• Strong communication skills and team-player mindset
• Results-driven and adaptable approach to work
• English fluent; Danish is an asset

Responsibilities

• Define and execute sourcing strategies to meet project and customer needs, ensuring seamless supplier relationships and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with Project Procurement Managers and Global Commodity Managers; facilitate discussions between project teams and suppliers.
• Lead project negotiations from RFQ to supplier award and beyond.
• Support supplier panel relationships through periodic reviews.
• Prepare and launch RFQs with suppliers using relevant tools.
• Manage supplier panel relationships including negotiation and QCDT performance.
• Monitor day-to-day supplier performance and address issues proactively.
• Ensure achievement of QCD targets and manage Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ).
• Handle supplier issues before escalation to line manager.
• Consolidate commodity needs and participate in commodity strategy and panel elaboration.
• Support Commodity Managers during tender phase and represent commodities in projects.
• Lead project negotiations from RFQ to supplier award, Go order and contractualization.
