Job summary

GEA Group in Søborg is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer (Mechanical) to join our newly formed strategic procurement team. You will lead the mechanical category, drive supplier development, and collaborate with local and global stakeholders to shape category strategies and secure the supply base for major projects.

You will manage supplier relationships, run RFx and negotiations, monitor performance, and develop roadmaps with a focus on cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with category management, sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience handling complex commercial negotiations.
• Solid analytical skills and experience with cost analysis and market analysis.

Would you like to play a key role in shaping the future of strategic procurement within GEA? We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer Mechanical to join our Strategic Procurement organization in Søborg.This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established strategic procurement team that is helping transform procurement from an operational function into a strategic business partner.You will join a team of 6 strategic buyers who work together to secure the category strategies, supply base, solutions and commercial agreements are supporting GEA’s projects and long-term growth ambitions. As part of our international procurement environment, you will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation.

As Strategic Buyer, you will be one of two strategic buyers leading the Mechanical category. This includes responsibility for the category strategy and the supplier development within the mechanical category for the Søborg site. Working closely with local stakeholders, global category management, and suppliers, you will drive strategic initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and supply security.

Your responsibilities will also include:
