Job summary

Uber's Aarhus Engineering Hub is seeking Backend Software Engineers to help build the infrastructure that powers Uber's global services. You'll work on catalog and infrastructure platforms, writing reliable, scalable code in Go or Java, and you will participate in architecture discussions and peer reviews in a high-autonomy environment.

This role is based in Aarhus, Denmark, with in-person collaboration and at least 50% in-office presence.

• Distributed Systems Experience: You understand how to build systems that don't break when millions of people use them simultaneously.
• Language Agnosticism: Our primary languages are Go and Java, but we care more about your ability to pick the right tool for the job.
• A "Scale" Mindset: You don't just write code; you think about observability, latency, and how your service behaves at 100x its current load.
• Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a culture of peer reviews, architectural discussions, and shared ownership.

This pipeline is intended for candidates with approximately 2+ years of relevant industry experience after completing their education.
