Job description

Working Hours: 07:00–15:00 or 08:00–16:00. We offer flexible working hours. Location: Copenhagen, Søborg. We can only consider candidates currently based in Denmark or the Greater Malmö Area, as relocation support is not available for this position.

At AGC Biologics in Søborg, manufacturing is where complex science becomes real treatments for patients. In the Operational Support department, we help ensure that equipment across our Mammalian production areas – Buffer, Upstream, and Downstream – remains operational, properly maintained, and able to support stable, high-quality production.

Where Overview Meets Collaboration

As Maintenance Coordinator, you become the link between the production units and Engineering, playing a central role in ensuring that equipment meets the high standards we set for quality and GMP.

As Equipment Responsible, you maintain the overall overview of equipment across the areas you support. You follow up on the planning and execution of preventive maintenance and help coordinate the response when breakdowns occur or repairs are needed. Engineering holds the overall responsibility for carrying out preventive maintenance and fixing equipment in case of breakdowns. Your role is to assist and support Engineering in this coordination: you help track the status of maintenance tasks, support prioritization together with production, and help ensure that the right information flows between the production units and Engineering, so that equipment is ready when production needs it.

In your daily work, you will:
  • Maintain overview of equipment status, maintenance plans, and ongoing tasks for Buffer, Upstream, and Downstream.
  • Support and help coordinate preventive maintenance activities together with Engineering.
  • Act as a key contact point between the production units and Engineering for planned maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Help ensure swift escalation and follow-up when equipment fails, to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to the prioritization of maintenance tasks based on production needs
  • Support equipment-related documentation, including logbooks and maintenance records, in line with GMP.
  • Participate in deviation handling and investigations when equipment-related issues occur.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and the collaboration between production and Engineering
  • Plan and execute transport of equipment.
A Team Focused on Collaboration and High Quality

You will join the Operational Support team, where cross-functional collaboration and clear communication are essential for our production units to deliver consistently and at high quality. You will work closely with technicians, scientists, and Engineering on a daily basis, becoming an important voice in how equipment is operated and maintained. The environment can at times be dynamic, especially when urgent equipment issues need to be resolved quickly, but it is also structured and supportive, with colleagues helping each other and continuously improving the way we work.

What Will Help You Succeed

We imagine that you:

  • Have a technical background, e.g. as a Process Operator, Industrial Technician, Mechanical Technician, or similar relevant field
  • Have experience from production or maintenance in a GMP-regulated or similar industry, ideally within biotech or pharma
  • Have experience coordinating maintenance tasks or in a similar liaison role between departments
  • Are structured, have a strong overview, and can manage multiple tasks and stakeholders at once
  • Bring a proactive, solution-oriented approach, particularly when equipment issues arise
  • Enjoy cross-functional collaboration and build trust with colleagues across departments
  • Have good communication skills, as procedures and documentation are handled in English; fluency in written and spoken English is required

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you:

  • Are familiar with CMMS systems or similar maintenance management systems
  • Have experience with LEAN or structured improvement methods
  • Have experience with Upstream, Downstream, or Buffer processes in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
Working Hours

This position is primarily a regular day shift, Monday to Friday. Overtime and work at irregular hours may occur periodically, for example during urgent breakdowns or planned maintenance activities outside normal working hours.
