Job summary

Mastercard Payment Services, based in Copenhagen, is seeking a sharp Senior Specialist, Product Developer to help turn promising ideas into clear concepts, strong business cases and delivery-ready requirements for development teams.

You will move easily between strategy, commercial analysis, customer needs, technical dialogue and delivery detail, shaping end-to-end product requirements for Nordic payment solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience from the payments industry, ideally within consumer payments, commerce, billing, account-to-account payments or adjacent digital payment services.
• Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Lead Developer, Architect or similar role translating business intent into delivery-ready product requirements.
• Excellent at writing clear business requirements, high-level flows and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.

Senior Specialist, Product Developer

We are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Product Developer to join Nordic Product Development in Mastercard Payment Services, based in Copenhagen. This is a role for someone who can move easily between strategy, commercial analysis, customer needs, technical dialogue and delivery detail. You will help turn promising ideas into clear concepts, strong business cases and delivery-ready requirements that development teams can act on. If you are at your best when the problem is complex, the path is unclear and the outcome matters, this is a team where you can make a visible impact. Our Product Development team works on existing and future payment solutions across B2B and B2C products, including well-established Nordic payment services and new capabilities developed with Mastercard colleagues across the world.

Experience

We are looking for someone with strong product development instincts, commercial understanding and the discipline to translate an endorsed concept into business requirements and acceptance criteria that are precise, testable and delivery ready. You bring experience from the payments industry, ideally within consumer payments, commerce, billing, account-to-account payments or adjacent digital payment services. You have worked as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Lead Developer, Architect or in a similar role that enables you to translate business intent into delivery-ready product requirements. You are exceptional at writing clear business requirements, high-level flows and acceptance criteria that are testable, unambiguous and useful for engineering teams. You are commercially strong: you can assess customer problems, market opportunities, business value, feasibility and trade-offs — and turn that into concise decision material. You can operate in ambiguity, structure the problem, ask the hard questions and drive alignment across product, commercial, architecture and development stakeholders. You have the confidence to challenge weak concepts, sharpen strong ones and keep pushing until the work is clear enough to build. You combine analytical discipline with high ownership, speed and follow-through — this is not a coordination-only role.
