Job summary

Dalux is seeking an Experienced Software Developer to take ownership of complex product and technical problems from idea to production. You will work with a product team of other developers, a Product Manager, and a Product Designer to craft scalable, maintainable solutions and influence architectural decisions.

We actively explore AI-assisted development, and practical experience with AI in the workflow is a plus. All development happens in-house at our Vibenshuset headquarters in Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
• Have solid professional software development experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Are comfortable owning complex technical problems and decisions.
• Care about maintainability, reliability, performance, and quality.
• Can navigate and improve an established codebase and architecture.
• Enjoy technical sparring and sharing knowledge with other developers.
• Are proactive and willing to challenge existing approaches when you see a better solution.
• Understand the trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term technical quality.
• Are interested in how AI and new development tools can improve your effectiveness as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Own complex features and technical problems end-to-end.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• Identify and address technical debt where it adds value.
• Improve engineering practices, tools, and developer workflows.
• Drive or contribute to CI/CD, IaC, and architecture initiatives.
• Mentor other developers and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Design to understand problems and solutions.
