Job summary

Arla Foods is seeking a global planning professional to join the Aarhus-based team. You will coordinate between commercial and production sites on tactical and strategic planning, balancing milk and capacity with demand while shaping Master Production Planning across multiple sites.

You will apply S&OP knowledge, scenario planning, and IBP/SAP/APO/BW planning systems, collaborating with colleagues in Sweden, Germany and the UK to optimise the value chain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain or similar.
• Experience in a similar position.
• Systematic and analytical approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material and analysis for the monthly Sales & Operation Planning process including scenario planning.
• Lead and facilitate Plant Review Meetings at sites and other relevant meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor Network performance and drive corrective actions to optimize utilization of network capacities and to fulfil demand.
• Facilitate end-to-end discussions across planning functions to secure Arla value creation as top priority.
• Establish and maintain planning principles and planning parameters to set the overall frame for the value chain.
• Be involved in cross-functional projects and challenge processes and practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

As part of the Global Planning department you will work with a number of dedicated and professional colleagues. The department is based in Aarhus, but you will also have close colleagues working in Sweden, Germany, and UK.

How You Will Make An Impact

You will be the coordinating link between commercial and production sites on tactical and strategical planning elements. Your responsibility will include the Master Production Planning of a number of sites, balancing available milk and capacity with the demand. You can expect to play a decisive role ensuring that we apply and use our milk and capacities optimally from a global perspective. Furthermore, you will

• Prepare material and analysis for the monthly Sales & Operation Planning process including scenario planning. Follow up on forecasts, stock levels, and production compliance and thereby identify imbalances between supply and demand
• Lead and facilitate Plant Review Meetings at sites and other relevant meetings with stakeholders
• Monitor Network performance and drive corrective actions to optimize utilization of network capacities and to fulfil demand
• Facilitate E2E discussions across planning functions to secure overall Arla value creation as top priority
• Establish and maintain planning principles and planning parameters to set the overall frame for the value chain
• Be involved in cross functional projects and challenge processes and practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

The right candidate for this role is characterized by having planning competencies and being a skilled communicator and strong in managing stakeholders at all levels. You are proactive, able to remain calm under pressure and you use your analytical skills when solving problems. In addition you have an understanding of the Sales and Operation Planning process (S&OP) and knowledge about Arla’s planning systems (IBP/SAP/APO/BW).

You bring a relevant education, e.g. a Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain or similar and experience from a similar position.
