Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking an Associate Director of Production Accounting to lead the team turning production activity into accurate financial information across DPM IO. You will strengthen governance, support operational decisions and ensure timely product costing and inventory close.

You will develop high‑performing teams across sites, drive standardisation, partner with production and finance leaders, and promote data‑driven finance while maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing or a related field.
• Significant experience in production accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, accounting, auditing or a related finance discipline.
• Proven people leadership experience, including developing high-performing teams and leading successfully through change.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, governance and compliance requirements, plus experience with financial close, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions, cultures and organisational levels.
• A structured, improvement-oriented mindset and the ability to simplify complex processes and turn insights into action.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and engage a team of production accounting professionals and specialists, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Provide direction and governance across production accounting in all DPM IO production areas, and own production finance compliance.
• Ensure high-quality product costing, inventory accounting, month-end and year-end close, budgeting and forecasting.
• Give production and finance stakeholders reliable financial insights that support sound business decisions.
• Identify and manage financial risks related to inventory, scrap, provisions, variances and production performance.
• Drive harmonisation and standardisation of processes across production areas, while taking local business needs into account.
• Strengthen the production account competence across DPM IO network
