Job summary

Lunar Denmark is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Data Platform to define and own the data product roadmap in Copenhagen, collaborating with engineering, architecture, and analytics. You’ll drive discovery, ensure data trust and GDPR alignment, and shape the future of Lunar’s AI-enabled data capabilities across the organization.

You’ll partner with Finance, Compliance, and Product teams to deliver scalable data solutions, set ambitious OKRs, and influence architecture and data strategy

Responsibilities

• Run discovery to decide if a problem is worth solving and align the team on user and business impact.
• Own data as a product with a clear vision, OKRs, and a trackable roadmap.
• Represent internal customers (Finance, Fraud, Lending, Product Analytics) in prioritization and service agreements.
• Own data trust, GDPR compliance, deletion engine, and operational resilience requirements.
• Support Lunar’s AI ambitions by making data accessible and governance-ready as the AI footprint grows.

As our new Senior Product Manager, Data Platform, you’ll join the Data Platform team based in Copenhagen, working to build the data foundation that powers everything from real-time financial reporting to AI and ML. You’ll be one third of a leadership trio alongside a Staff Architect and an Engineering Manager. Legacy infrastructure and EOL decisions sit with the Staff Architect, while you own the product problem and the roadmap.

What will you do?

• Run discovery before anything gets roadmapped, working out whether a problem is worth solving now, later, or never, and keep the team focused on what actually changed for our users, our business, and our regulators, not just what got shipped.

• Own data as a product by building and communicating a clear product vision for Matrix, backed by sharp problem definitions, OKRs, and a roadmap stakeholders can track.

• Treat Finance, Financial Crime Prevention, Lending, and Product Analytics as real internal customers: set clear service agreements, manage inbound demand, sequence requests fairly, and flag capacity constraints before they become a problem.

• Own data trust and discoverability, including GDPR compliance, the deletion engine, and DORA operational resilience requirements.

• Help shape and deliver Lunar’s AI ambitions by making data accessible, governed, and agent-ready as AI use grows across the organization.

What are we looking for in you?

• Strong product craft: you run discovery, frame problems clearly, prioritize ruthlessly, and measure success by what changed, not what shipped.

• Comfort saying “not yet” and pushing back on requests that don’t solve a real problem.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and modern data stacks, enough to ask sharp questions, not to be the expert in the room.

• Experience leading through influence as a peer to architecture and engineering leads.

• Experience in a regulated industry, ideally financial services, is a plus.
