Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior ML Backend Engineer based in Denmark. You will build and evolve the ML infrastructure behind property intelligence solutions, combining backend engineering with ML operations to create scalable platforms for training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Senior-level backend software engineering experience with a strong understanding of machine learning.
• Experience designing and maintaining ML infrastructure, platforms, and tooling for large-scale training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML engineering tools, including experiment tracking, version control, containers, and automated workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps practices such as CI/CD, model monitoring, reproducibility, data lineage, governance, and production operations.
• Proven experience with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, distributed computing, and scalable ML infrastructure.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical use of AI tools and LLM-based agents to improve workflows.
• Experience addressing business challenges with AI and awareness of responsible/ethical AI principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with ML engineers, researchers, software developers, product teams, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and evolve scalable ML infrastructure supporting model development, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design reliable, cost-effective ML pipelines, platforms, and tooling for large-scale workloads.
• Partner with ML engineers and researchers to transition models from prototypes to production-ready systems.
• Develop automation, testing, observability, monitoring, reproducibility, data lineage, and governance across ML environments.
• Evaluate and integrate new data sources, technologies, platforms, and tools to improve model performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineering, technology, product, and commercial stakeholders to deliver scalable ML solutions.
• Apply AI-powered development tools and LLM-based agents to automate workflows and boost productivity.
• Ensure ML systems meet security, governance, responsible AI, and model risk management standards.
• Identify trade-offs and contribute to architectural decisions around infrastructure scalability, reliability, and cost.
