Job summary

SkyPoint is seeking an experienced Mason to join our construction team in the Faroe Islands. You will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using brick, stone, and concrete while collaborating with team members to meet high standards.

We value pride in workmanship, strong work ethic, and the ability to read blueprints, measure precisely, and use hand and power tools. Accommodation is provided if needed, for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of different masonry techniques and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in masonry work.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces prior to beginning work.
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or instructions.
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using hand or power tools.
• Lay bricks blocks or stones according to plans.
• Cut or trim bricks stones or blocks using hand or power tools.
• Align structures vertically and horizontally using levels and plumb bobs.
• Repair cracks or damaged masonry work.
• Clean excess mortar from finished work using water and brushes.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.
